The event, a fundraiser for the Arts Center scheduled for Sept. 24, will provide the opportunity for attendees to try a variety of artisan craft beers and hard ciders, according to organizers.
According to the Arts Center's website, the Vassar family was once the most prolific makers of beer and ale in the United States.
One of their breweries once rested on the site of what is now the Center's Victorian theater, according to organizers.
Among those breweries planning to attend the September event are the Hyde Park Brewery, the Mill House Brewing Company and Yankee Folly Cidery.
Tickets to the event cost $20 and admission includes a commemorative pilsner glass and the brew sampling, according to organizers. A $15 special MTA Weekend Get Away package also can be purchased to get to the event.
To purchase tickets, call the Arts Center at 845-486-4571 or learn more by visiting Facebook.
